Chiropractic Manipulation

Restore motion in your life.

Repetitive motions, sustained postures, stress, overexertion, improper mechanics, and other factors that may not allow the spine to move properly through its normal range of motion. This can result in minor displacements of one or more vertebrae and the surrounding soft tissue structures.

An adjustment is used to create a balanced pressure inside the joints, restoring the alignment of the articular (body) surfaces, and allowing the joint to maximize the amount of space through which it can function.

Active Release Technique (ART)

Experience the difference for yourself!

Active Release Technique provides patients and athletes with the targeted treatment of soft tissues (muscle, tendon, fascia, nerves). There is a good reason ART has been collectively named “The gold standard in soft tissue treatment”.

ART is a hands-on technique that restores muscular balance and improves collagen remodeling that will allow your tissues to build resilience.

Professional Athletes of all disciplines utilize this technique with trained Clinicians.

Benefits of ART treatment include:
  • Improves range of motion.
  • Reduces pain.
  • Increases circulation.
  • Speeds up recovery.
  • Normalize muscle tone.
  • Restores nervous system activity.
ART is not only for professional athletes. It has shown great results in the general population as well. Over-used, tight, and torn muscles or other soft tissues are all managed with ART.

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Speed up recovery through advanced techniques.

Connective tissue throughout the body becomes shortened or chronically strained from chronically poor posture or altered mechanics.

At Great Lakes Spine & Performance, we use soft tissue instruments to reduce the myofascial tissue congestion that limits oxygen delivery to tissues and predisposes them to injury.

Tools are used to stimulate the body in static positions, as well as during exercises, in order to alleviate pain and restore proper function of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and their surrounding environment.  Used in the form of Stainless Steel Smart Tools Compression & voodoo floss bands.

Rehabilitative / Corrective Exercise

Get back to feeling like yourself again.

Repetitive stresses to the body are often a result of poor mechanics. During your movement screening, Dr. Stacy will correct any errors in your movement pattern / exercise through proper cueing.

To complement this, he adds corrective exercises to produce the desired results. These exercises will be focused on loosening tight areas of the body while also strengthening weakened / inhibited muscle groups.

Adding active care (exercises) into a patient's treatment program has been shown time and time again to improve patient outcomes, and reduce patient treatment times.

Body Tempering

Accelerate recovery, and eliminate toxins.

Body tempering is a technique that accelerates performance by combatting soft tissue restrictions and adhesions in muscles and fascia.

A heavy steel cylinder (48-135 pounds) is placed over a tight or injured region of the body and rolled up and down—like a rolling pin—to break up muscle adhesions and trigger points.

The rolling action also removes toxins that have built up in tissues. Body tempering speeds recovery from workouts and injuries restores natural movement patterns and is also helpful in preventative care.
